Precise AV Precise AV is a leading, NYC-based system integration company offering Audio Visual, videoconferencing and managed services solutions. Headquartered in Long Island City, just 15 minutes from Manhattan, we are innovative problem solvers, focused on helping people create well-planned, attractive presentation spaces that improve collaboration and productivity.

We have an immediate opening for an entry-level Audio Visual Technician. This is a great opportunity for an individual in the early stages of their career to learn a wide range of AV integration skills and make an important contribution to our company and its clients. Our ideal candidate will have one to two years’ work experience and an interest in radio, electronics, music technology or computers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with assembly and installation of equipment, materials and systems as directed and specified in project documentation; may include, but not be limited to, rack assembly, audio, video and control terminations, speaker installing video projectors, flat panel displays and projection screens
  • Aid Senior Technicians in the execution of AV system based on drawings and project documentation
  • participate in in-house and onsite program troubleshooting; provide support to Technical team
  • Work with Shop Manager in accepting equipment deliveries, perform in-house maintenance and run errands as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ experience with and interest in AV technology, electronics
  • Some IT knowledge a plus
  • InfoComm CTS and manufacturer certifications a plus, but not required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED (Technical Diploma, B.A. or A.A. a plus)
  • Must be a team player, have a professional demeanor with strong verbal communication skills
  • Must have a desire to take ownership and responsibility for quality workmanship
  • Must be willing to learn and be dedicated to improve
  • Willing to work overtime, evenings and weekends from time to time as necessary
  • Physical requirements: ability to lift moderately heavy equipment, stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, crawl under tables and have full hand dexterity to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Experience using power and hand tools
  • Must have a clean, valid Driver’s License
